technology upgrades too fast. the greatest old games that i own can never work anymore T-T

Just a small bit of news. Skyrim has broken the record for the fastest selling game in Steam's history. All hail the Dragonborn!

REALLY!?! I thought I heard that MWIII did just the other day. I was all depressed 'cuz I hate that series (my mind would rather not go as demented as the CoD games get...storylines...multiplayer is okay.)

BUT NOW THAT SKYRIM IS #1! PARTY!

So, the end of another year. And this one has been a very good year for games. So, feel free to discuss your favourite games from this past year.
For me, Skyrim is easily my favourite game of this year, with Batman: Arhkam City and LA Noire also being incredibly good.
Also, special mention to Corpse Party on the PSP, which I just finished playing about.... 30 minutes ago. I haven't experienced a tense horror game like that since Silent Hill 2. Everything about that game, from the plot to the music was incredibly well done.

Killing dragons is the best! Haha sorry Lloyd, but being a dragonbane is raw as hell.
I've finished the companions and accidently killed my spirit wolf >.<
I'm gonna go join the dark brotherhood and then finish off the mages and thieves guilds.

I'm gonna run outta stuff to do!

Does anyone still play Rusty Hearts? I'm thinking of starting, but I wanna know if anyone plays atm.

Killing dragons IS fun in skyrim. they're actually challenging when you start seeing the ancient ones =/ damn beast landed ON ME and then ate me immediately.

btw. Moglin, I only liked 1 spell in that. Conjure mini dragon XD

Well I played when it was in Closed beta, I wonder if I still have my characters...

I was thinking about DC Universe. It's F2P? Because I might try it out. I really love DC, especially more then Marvel soo yeah I thinking about it.

Ace Attorney 5 was just announced, along with iOS ports of 1, 2, and 3.

so i started listening to super mario galaxy music again....which made me want to play super mario galaxy, even though i beat it ages ago...and then i realized that i don't have that game anymore. THIS IS REALLY UPSETTING. D:

P.S.: I f***ing hate Combattler V and Voltes V, both their theme and the robots, but I guess some of you already knew that.

Layton, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy all have great music in my opinion.

going to be getting terraria soon,2d game,practically minecraft but with a bit more story and multiple bosses,and you know,2D,anyways,if i can't find another person that wants to play it(because i'm getting a 4 copy deal) i'll be thinking of making a small contest here on LE for people that want to play it.

oh my god, THAT game? i haven't heard of that game since the last time i read the old topics. good to know that someone still plays it, it certainly seems interesting.

Okay I'm thinking about playing an mmorpg and I am either gonna try and play WoW lvl 20 trial or maybe another one... I was thinking perfect world or forsaken world... any ideas?

ooh, forsaken world sounds fun. though, i've played perfect world before, and it was pretty cool, too.

Assassins Creed 3 has been announced. It's taking place in colonial America. Hopefully we can get more of Desmond's story as well.

In addition, the console exclusive Dark Souls is going to be getting a PC port. YESSSS
