Yume Nikki (Dream Diary)

This isn't actually a new game at all, but rather one that I've been playing for a long time that I just beat.
The basic premise of the story is that you are Madotsuki, a girl who lives by herself in a one room apartment. For whatever reason, Madotsuki refuses to leave.
So, you go to sleep, and that's when the weird stuff starts to happen. You enter a world of this girls dreams, and explore it in order to find all these items, called "effects" that are scattered around the dream world. Some effects have practical uses, like the bicycle and the knife, but others are just for fun, like the one that makes your hair turn blond. Almost the entirety of the game is exploring the different realms looking for effects, and using ones you already found in order to access new ones. The game is very atmospheric and creepy, and although there are monsters that are pursuing you, you can wake up by pinching your cheek. I just finished this game, and I didn't use a guide. Finding all 24 effects by myself took a long time, but it was worth it.

This is a easter egg in the game, and when I saw it, it freaked me out so much ;_;
Basically, you go into this house where another girl is, and turn off the lights. Normally, nothing happens, but there's something like a 1 in 64 chance that Uboa will show up.
When I was told about this, someone just mentioned to turn the lights on and off a ton, and something would happen. I was not expecting what resulted from that :(

So, I've stopped playing Skyrim for long enough to remember that this topic exists...
Yeah.
This game is really amazing. It's the 5th game in the Elder Scrolls series(one of my all time favourite game franchises.), the last one being Oblivion, which came out in 2006. I played Oblivion for probably somewhere close to 1000 hours. I've been waiting for this for a long time, and the wait was well worth it. I'm finding it hard to describe exactly, so I'll just show you.
The world is huge, and beautiful
The combat system is incredibly fluid, and every so often you get these awesome kill shots
The magic system is also much improved from Oblivion. You can summon creatures to fight for you, and unleash waves of elemental power
They also brought back a lot of the old enemies from Morrowind, which is a nice touch.
And arguably the best part about the game are the dragon fights, which happen randomly across the map.

Alright, I'm done here. Back to playing Skyrim.

I would like to add. Werewolves, Vampires, Daedric Items, Thief and Assassin guilds, 18 different perk sets, 24 "shouts" (very unique magic, favorite is Aura whisper and frostbreath).

not to mention that you have WAAAAY too many races to choose from (I was overloaded and just went with the Nord), lots of facial customization (the war paint looks cool).

not to mention you get to pick between 2 warring sides of skyrim.

it IS a very fun game. loads of content.

iz a very enjoyable game. even I, who despise the thought of slaying dragons for a reason, enjoy it. then again, I think the blades storyline repairs that small issue too with a very specific shout they that you learn (too bad it's fire and not ice. oh well)

Fate/Stay Night is probably the longest game I've ever played. 40 hours in and not even half way done. I'm really enjoying it though, so it's worth it.

Longuest game I played was Persona 3 with 90 hours of gameplay for my 1st playthrough. Also it was the game with the most forms for the last boss. He had a total of 14 forms and took me 45 minutes to finish him off.

So yeah. PSP games.
I got three games for Christmas, and then bought one for myself today.

First, Fate/Extra, an RPG side story to Fate/Stay Night.
I adore this game, since I am now a huge FS/N fanboy, I love any more of this universe that I can get. In addition to that, it's a pretty fun dungeon-delving RPG, with a fair bit of F/SN's visual novel and branching story line elements mixed it. I will be playing this game a lot.

Secondly. Me and My Katamari. Anyone familiar with a Katamari game needs no explanation to the awesome.
Basically, you have a ball. Which you roll. And you roll up other stuff to make your ball larger, and thus roll up larger things and so on until you ROLL UP THE WORLD
If you are still confused, then here you go. This will explain everything.

Thirdly, Disgaea. This is another dungeon delving type RPG with more of a focus on building a legion of dark forces to take the throne of the Underworld for yourself.
This game doesn't take itself too seriously but has a wicked sense of humor. I've been enjoying it so far but it seems to have quite a difficulty spike.

And lastly, the game that I bought for myself, Corpse Party.
This is a survival horror game set in a high school where a group of friends find themselves trapped and at the mercy of angered ghosts of children who were brutally murdered in the same school.
I know it sounds somewhat generic from that description but it's actually really awesome. The gameplay is similar to AoOni (For those of you who are familiar with that game), where the majority of the game is wandering the school solving puzzles and dialogue. The story is incredibly captivating and I am rushing to get this post done so I can go play it some more.
