Yeah. Now that iron is so common, I feel like the only semi-rare thing in the game is diamonds.
I think there should be some more levels of materials between there somewhere.
Another thing that kinda bothered me is that there is nothing ingame that tells you that you can make a Nether portal.
I know that it's supposed to be about figuring out how to craft stuff on your own, and experimentation the first time you play it, but it just seems like you would never try that yourself unless you were told you could do it.

...actually he's posted what the portals look like too. or at least, what the portal looks like. He hasn't confirmed if the frame is indeed what you'll need yet. though I don't recognize that material anyway...

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA... Let's not get too brash here. It's not a circle, per se. More of, uh... A bunch of really bright squares stacked atop one another.

A. "The End" Currently in 1.9 prerelease 4, sucks, and half of that reason is that you need 2 find a strong hold, and can't move the portal. It HAS to stay in the stronghold. No dragons were added yet and there is no exit from it, without dieing.

B. Notch is an asshole because he had a poll, and a square sun won, but he decided to make it round anyway.

A: It "sucks" because it's not finished. It's called a prerelease for a reason, and yes, there are dragons, but you can't interact with them yet.

B: Minecraft is Notch's game, and he can do whatever the hell he wants with it. What poll are you talking about anyway?

Okay, so. Someone decided to wreck my house. All the farms are destroyed, along with some glass that I assume was their entry point, and all the torches are gone.

In my chest I used to gather all the things I'd use for my screenshot, here is what has been taken out.
-Golden Apple
-40 Cookies
-Diamond Sword
-13 Ender Pearls
-64 Melon

If anyone has an explanation, it would be much appreciated.

I collected about thirty redstone thingies, 7 diamonds, 11 gold, 9 iron, my brand spankin new iron pickaxe, and about 17 coal I was going to use to make everything into something useful. This along with all of the other crap in my inventory. Then I died. And /back took me to where I was before I warped to Adventure. It didn't take me back to inside the mine. Now I want to kill everything. Ever.

*plays a song on the world's tiniest violin*

*sticks tongue out at* It's fairly depressing.

EDIT: Actually, that isn't all. We have to generate a new world for the End to work properly. So I'll save the old one and do that.
