I'm building a thingy out of wood and obsidian there, actually. Fun stuff. Has he fixed that glitch yet?

I'm working on a new save file to go to the Nether in. Give me a while.

You'll have to be more specific DK, there are a lot of glitches.

The one that makes you come out of a different portal leaving the Nether.

it's actually a pretty cool glitch. when you build a portal and go into the nether, and come back out through that new portal and destroy it and repeat the first 2 steps, it creates ANOTHER portal in practically the same spot. (free obsidian)

also, build portals in hell. lots of different places you can get shot out to.


and always have a compass (trust me)

Punch a sheep so hard its wool falls off.
Punch through stone with his bare hands.
Forge metal and diamond weapons/tools/armor with his bare hands.

Walk supported by nothing but leaves.

Can rip a new space-time continuum with 10-14 cubic meters of obsidian and a fire.

Can create an unlimited amount of items with just a chest and a single instance of the target item. Hello, infinite diamond.
Can grapple and reel in nearby mobs and vehicles with a fishing pole. Eat your heart out, Indy.
Can light TNT with his fist...with his bare hands.
Can craft 1 cubic meter of wood into 4 cubic meters of planks with his bare hands! Which can be further turned into... sixteen sticks.
Can make bookcases out of his bare hands...again.
Make platforms for climbing up a wall...or just make staircases up the wall.
Can turn pigs to bacon in 1 second.
Can kill a legion of zombies with a flower.
Can go to hell, fight zombie PIGmen and a couple of fire-breathing giant octupi, and come back without a scar... with his bare hands.
Make swords not in a furnace, but on a wooden workbench, which will not break if a blacksmith hammer hits it... with his bare hands.
Can fish 500 fish from a 1 meter cubed block of water... this time, with a fishing pole.
Used to wear armor but have others unable to see it in Multiplayer mode, but now, everyone wears iron... with their bare hands.
Can make a farm with 1 hoe and a plot of land. They eat the junk all day just to fit their needs.
Can see through the ground to find caverns filled with masses of lava. Rumor has it Chuck Norris once went adventuring in those caverns.
Can fall and break a leg. Even after that, you can run fine.
Can eat bread underwater. How they do this is unknown.
Can create infinite doors just by placing two cacti 1 block apart and placing the door between them.
Can bestow infinite momentum on a minecart by forcing multiple other minecarts to occupy the same space-time co-ordinates on an adjacent track.
Never takes a crap.... with his bare hands. (Does that mean he needs to wear gloves?)
Needs a Dispensah heah! ...With his bare hands, and not using metal.
Can alter the genetic makeup of a sheep to make it grow sixteen colors of wool.
Can make bones into a tasty and nutritious meal, which is used to make trees grow instantaneously... With his bare hands.
Can pound certain items ranging from ore thats rarer than diamond but is not nearly as useful, to a rose into respectively colored paste.
Can regurgitate a sword, yet has to put it in his pants before use."

Ah, the Yogscast LP of Minecraft. Easily my favourite Minecraft LP ever. They're second season is ongoing now and I'm loving every minute of it.

A pretty big update this time, bringing the game to version 1.3_01

Delay/repeater blocks
Beds
Added three new half-size blocks (wooden slab, cobblestone slab, sandstone slab)
Slimes have a higher spawn rate

Graphics settings screen
Ability to toggle between classic lighting and "smooth" lighting
Worlds now use a generic McRegion chunk save format, with built-in auto conversion
While starting a new world, players can choose their own name and seed to generate the world

When F3 is pressed, mobs display a number over their head. This number is referred to as the "entity id" and can be seen in the console when players connect to a server.

In 3rd person mode, character can be visibly seen to bob side to side when you walk (only when View Bobbing is enabled).
Sandstone is now found at the bottom of naturally generated sand.
All pressure plates now require two of its materials, instead of 3. The new stone slabs are now created by using 3 of the materials (see specific block pages for further information)

Redstone wire will get darker the farther away it is from a source of power.

If you go to bed where there is a possibility of a hostile mob being able to reach you, you will wake up with the hostile mob attacking you, and it will still be night.
Flint more common.
Bugfixes:
When breaking double slabs (one slab placed on another) it will drop two slabs instead of one.
Wood and logs don't burn forever anymore.
Grassland/Sand-related biome border fixed (Boundaries line up, rather than obviously show chunk borders)
No longer receiving Java Log error .txt file spam in the minecraft.exe folder when closing the Minecraft client program.
Players can no longer use the click-release to quickly mine blocks (referred to as "click mining"). Note: Only applies to SMP.
Players no longer glitch when standing on fences in SMP
Players can no longer milk Squids.
When right-clicking on a wooden door while holding a bow or fishing rod, arrows will no longer be fired into the door, nor will the fishing hook be cast into the door. (?)
New Bugs:
Slimes can be killed, but split into smaller slimes regardless of weapon used. Only one split slime can be damaged, the others are 'ghost' slimes which disappear upon reconnecting.
Some users reporting worlds getting deleted (confirm?). Deletion may be caused by use of mods from 1.2 that have not updated.
Levers can be placed on the bottom of a block, as long as there is an open space, and a block horizontal to the open space. The lever will act as if placed on the horizontal block, but looks glitched, as shown here: Media:Brokenlever.png
If someone uses their bed in SMP, other players may get disconnected. (Un-Recognizable Packet ID: 17)
Wooden Slabs are best mined with pickaxe, not an axe.
The particle colors for wood and sandstone slabs are gray.
The particle colors for Delay/repeater blocks are the same of pumpkins.
Zombies cannot hurt players unless the zombie is above them(true in SSP only).
Spiders can only hurt the player when above them or when jumping.
If debug screen is toggled on in a world and you save and quit to title screen, the graph stays on the screen.
Lighting bugs on portal, water, and ice blocks with smooth lighting.
When a player drowns or is otherwise killed near or in water, all 10 bubbles of the breath bar show up.
If a redstone torch which is placed on the side of a block receives power, it will turn off permanently and must be manually reset. It will not turn back on.
Delay/repeater blocks may stay on when without turning off when turned on and off repeatedly for a long time. May be the blocks equivalent to a redstone torch burn out.
Once a redstone torch is burnt out, any torch placed in that position will immediately burn out when given power. Torches will also remain burnt out forever.
F1 in 3rd person mode no longer flips view.
Slime is only client side, other players in SMP will not see the slime that is following you. This slime will not damage you but will knock you around, and can get in the way of minecarts to the bafflement of your smp friends. (possibly not a bug - might be simulating schizophrenia)

Cannot stack Chests on Stone Slabs.
Regular mining is now much slower in SMP with tools such as the diamond pick axe on stone, when simply holding down the mouse button - the actual mining only starts shortly after the tool animation started, for each block, causing a delay that adds up. This is probably related to the "click mining" exploit fix.[1]
When you're crouching in SMP and you right click a bed to get in it. You get disconnected for an illegal stance.


As you can see, a lot of bugs/fixes, but the part I like the most is the new lighting. It looks very nice, and improves the game's appearance.

so how do you make a bed?

I finally figured out why the Minecraft servers we were making weren't working. Minecraft needs a certain port to be open to host a server. By default, this port is closed, which is why the servers wouldn't work. I am working to fix my internet setup so be able to open that port. If it works, I will be able to host the server on my laptop and play on my desktop, but we shall see.
